    London will be hosting the 2021 Ontario Summer Games over the August long weekend, beginning on Thursday, July 29th to Sunday, August 1st, 2021. The Games will take place at multiple locations across the city, with the full list of venues soon to be available on our website.

    The health and safety of all participants is our top priority. At the time of hosting the Games, the Games Organizing Committee will follow all guidelines put into place by the Middlesex London Health Unit and the Province of Ontario.

    The health and safety of all participants and spectators is our top priority. The Games Organizing Committee is monitoring the situation and will be following all guidelines put into place by the Middlesex London Health Unit and the Province of Ontario.

    The Games Organizing Committee is currently working with each Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) to determine what overall numbers will look like for the 2021 Games.

    London was awarded the 2020 Ontario Summer Games by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries on April 13th, 2018 through a competitive bid process. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Games have been postponed to 2021.

Athletes / Parents

    Any adjustments to age groups and/or qualification systems to accommodate the cancellation of the 2020 Games is determined by the Provincial Sport Organization for each sport participating in the Games.

    Individuals selected to compete at the London 2021 Ontario Summer Games are determined by the respective Provincial Sport Organization through a qualification process. For more information, please contact the specific Provincial Sport Organization.

    Sports represented in the Ontario Summer Games vary from year to year and are determined by a sport process conducted by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries with the respective Provincial Sport Organizations.

    The London 2021 Ontario Summer Games will feature over 3400 participants (athletes, coaches, and officials), with the athletes ranging from 12-18 years of age.

Volunteers

    Volunteer recruitment will begin in 2021. During this time, you will be able to submit an application at www.london2021.ca/volunteer. Here you will be able to submit your information and areas of interested. Successful applications will be contacted in the near future.

    Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

    Communications will be sent out in the near future to all candidates who applied to volunteer at the London 2020 Ontario Summer Games

    Through your registration form you will be able to indicate sports you are interested in volunteering with, skills you may be able to offer and your availability. Based on the information you provide while registering, the Games will do their best to offer you a position of interest and that best suits your skill set. Training will be provided to all volunteers prior to the Games and just-in-time on site.

    Volunteers will be selected on a rolling basis. A member of the Games will contact you with more information regarding your role once you have been selected.
